What is kilo-watt hour?

One kilowatt-hour is the amount of energy delivered by the flow of one kilowatt of electricity for one hour. Electric bill is often expressed in kilowatt-hours.
1 watt-hour = 3600 J
1 kilowatt-hour = 3.6 x106 J
