Few examples are:
1. This process is used to convert alkenes and aromatic compounds into saturated alkanes (paraffins) and cycloalkanes (napthenes) in petroleum industries.
2. Hydrogenation is used to the processing of vegetable oils and fats.
3. This process is used in perfumery industry.
