  • The Golgi body helps in the storage, modification and packaging of products in vesicles. 
  • The materials synthesised near ER is packaged and dipatched to various targets inside and outside the cell through Golgi body.
  • It is also involved in formation of lysosomes.
  • Golgi body is also involved in synthesising complex sugars.
