Expert Answer:

Glycerol is a colourless, odourless, slightly sweet in taste and viscous liquid compound that belongs to alcohol family.

During digestion lipase enzymes act on fats and break them into fatty acids and glycerol.

These fatty acids and glycerols are absorbed by the microvilli and utilized by the body to resynthesise fats.
