Expert Answer:
A fascia is a sheet or band of fibrous connective tissue enveloping, separating, or binding together muscles, organs, and other soft structures of the body (e.g. - blood vessels, and nerves). Various kinds of fascia are classified according to their distinct layers, their functions and their anatomical location. Fasciae contain closely packed bundles of collagen fibers.
