What is double fertilisation?
Asked by | 21st Feb, 2012, 08:45: PM
It is a process occurring in angiosperms. Here, one sperm nucleus unites with the egg to form the diploid zygote, from which the embryo develops, and the other unites with two polar nuclei to form the triploid, primary endosperm nucleus. The endosperm develops from this.
