what is difference between speciation and evolution

Speciation is the formation of a new species.
Biological evolution is the process of change over time in the heritable characteristics, or traits, of a population of organisms. It may or may not lead to speciation.
The transmission of physical and emotional traits and characteristics from parents to offspring is called heredity.
The scientific study of heredity is called genetics.
