Wavelength is the associated with a sound wave and is the minimum distance in which a sound wave repeats itself. Pitch is the characteristic of a sound that that distinguishes between shrill sound from a soft one and it depends on the frequency of the sound wave.
As the wavelength increases, the frequency decreases and pitch also decreases.
