Speed and acceleration are the two factors that describing the motion
 
If the motion is not accelerated, speed does not vary and it is constant and uniform.
 
For accelerated motion, if acceleration is constant, rate of increase of speed will be constant.
 
For accelerated motion, if acceleration is not constant, rate of increase of speed will vary.
