What is Dalton's atomic theory?

The main postulates of Daltons atomic theory are:
- Atoms are indivisible particles.
- Atoms can neither be created nor destroyed.
- The atoms of an element are alike in all respect and differ from atoms of other elements.
- Atoms of different elements may combine with each other in a fixed, simple, whole number ratio to form compound atoms.
- Atoms are the smallest unit of matter that can take part in a chemical reaction.
