what is current?

Expert Answer:
Current if the rate of flow of charge through a wire.
If we take a wire and charge "q" flows through the wire for "t" seconds, then the current through the wire is I = q/t.
Hence, we can say that current determines the amount of charge flowing through a conductor for one second.
