The center of gravity is a geometric property of any object. The center of gravity is the average location of the weight  of an object. It is the point about which the total weight of the body acts.We can completely describe the motion of any object through space in terms of the translation of the center of gravity of the object from one place to another, and the rotation of the object about its center of gravity if it is free to rotate.

A Uniform Disc of diameter R/2 is put over another uniform disc of radius R of same thickness and Density. The peripheries of the two discs touch each other. The Centre of Mass of the system from centre of the big disc is? (I asked this question before but the answer was wrong. They took the Radius as R/2 while it is the Diameter)
