Organised sectors are the sectors where all the policies and regulations formulated by the Government regarding the general condition of employment are followed. Various Acts such as Minimum Wages Act and payment of Gratuity Act are followed.

In the organised sector, people enjoy security of employment. They are expected to work only for a fixed number of hours and any overtime work is paid. Paid holidays, provident fund, gratuity and medical benefits are given to the people. Many facilities such as clean drinking water, proper sanitation and safe working conditions are ensured to the people.
