Two or more vectors may be added to produce their addition. Note that while adding vectors together we need to take into consideration both their direction and magnitude. For example: If two vectors each of magnitude 2 and in the same direction are added we get a vector of magnitude 4 in the same direction. And if two vectors again each of magnitude 2 but in the opposite directions then the resultant is a zero vector. There are different methods to add vectors some of which are listed below: 1. Polynomial method 2. Parallelogram method 3. Method of components |
