Expert Answer:

The protozoa are unicellular animals and usually microscopic. They are the smallest of all animals. They carry out all the essential life processes.

They are usually found in water or at least where it is damp. Some protozoans are harmful to man as they can cause serious diseases. Others are helpful.

Eg-  Amoeba, paramecium, euglena, plasmodium etc.
