flywheel is a rotating mechanical device that is used to store rotational energy.

It has a significant moment of inertia and thus resist changes in rotational speed.

It provides continuous energy when the energy source discontinuous.

USE IN AUTOMOBILE:

It stores energy for a particular interval of time.

It absorbs fluctuations.

It ensures uniform and smooth running of the engine.
