Expert Answer
Dear student,
A cell is the basic structural and functional unit of living organisms and is composed of a plasma membrane, cytoplasm and nuclear material (within the nucleus or in the form of nucleoid.) In unicellular organisms, the cell carries out all the life processes, whereas in multicellular organisms, cells show division of labour. In multicellular organisms, cells are organised into tissues.
Hope this answers your query.
