answered-by-expert Expert Answer
If the rating of fuse used in an electrical apparatus is  more than the recomended rating of current,
then the excess current may flow under fault conditions and damage the apparatus.

If copper wirs is used in place of fuse, then thickness of copper wire matters.
If thickness is more, then it will allow more current to pass through the apparatus under fault conditions
and the appratus will be damaged.
