Everything that we know about the Indus Valley Civilization (IVC) and its people is through the artefacts that have been discovered from various sites.

Agriculture was an important economic activity of the people of the IVC. People also domesticated animals like goat, sheep, and buffalo. People were also involved in trading, and they traded with Mesopotamia, Oman and Afghanistan.

People in Harappa played various dice games and children played with toys made out of wood and clay. Various seals discovered at Harappa throw light on the religious beliefs of the people. Many figures of Mother goddess have been found. This shows that the people worshipped the mother God.
