The process of respiration releases energy which can be used to carry out various lie processes. Some energy is released as heat and rest of the energy in stored in the chemical form that is ATP that is used for cell growth, division and cell repairing. Some amount of energy is used for the production of DNA, RNA, amino acids and hormones within the cells.
