CBSE Class 10 Answered
what happens if copulation occurs during the menstrual cycle?
Asked by | 30 Jan, 2012, 08:33: PM
During menstruation, even if copulation occurs there will not be any fertilisation, since there is no mature ovum present in the fallopian tube. The mature ovum is released by the ovary during ovulation and it lives only for about a day or two. Menstruation commences about 14 days after ovulation, during which time, no mature ovum is available.
