CBSE Class 9 Answered
What factors influence the speed of sound?
Asked by | 10 Mar, 2013, 12:23: PM
speed of a sound wave is determined by the product of its wavelength and frequency since
speed = frequency x wavelength
That means that if the frequency is increased, the speed is also increased and vice versa, as long as wavelength is kept constant. And if the wavelength is increased, the speed is also increased and vice versa, as long as frequency is kept constant.
