We assume that you have doubt in centripetal force
When body is whirled in circular motion using a thread or string, the centripetal force acts upon an object moving in circle at constant speed .

This force is always acting inwards to the centre of circular path. While the velocity is directed tangent to the circular path of the object which is being whirled.
