Vaccine is any preparation of killed microorganisms or living weakened organisms introduced into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease by causing the formation of antibodies. It contains a suspension of attenuated live or killed microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, or rickettsiae), or fractions thereof.
