what can be the electric field line diagram for a  system of 2 positive charges one double the magnitude of the other? 

 

and i have read in some books which say about electric field intendity, what does it signify and what is the reason for using it if it doesnot give any moer info thsn electric field?

Electric field is the region of space around a charge in which an external charge feels a force.
 
Electric field intensity quantifies this electric field. It gives a numerical value to the electric field at a point in space.
