A spherical mirror is a mirror which has the shape of a piece cut out of a spherical surface. There are two types of spherical mirrors: concave , and convex .


1.To focus sunlight for heating purpose 
2.To have close look during shaving. 
3.To produce parallel beam in car headlights. 
4.Dentist and ENT doctors use it....... 
5.It is used in torches...........


1. used as a rear view mirror or wing mirrors in vehicles also called drivers mirror 
2. used as reflectors in street lamps to diverge light over a larger area 
3. used as surveillance mirror which is often used at the bent of a road or ghats (curved roads at hills) 
4. used as security mirror in shops 
5. used for making sun glasses and telescopes.
