Expert Answer:

Dear student
Rules to follow while drawing a ray diagram:
(i) A ray of light incident at the optical centre passes undeviated through the lens.
(ii) A ray of light incident parallel to the principal axis of the lens after refraction passes through the second focus (in convex lens) or appears to diverge through the second focus (in a concave lens).
(iii) A ray of light incident through the first focus (in convex lens) or appearing to meet at the first focus (in concave lens) emerges parallel to the principal axis after refraction.
Hope this helps.
