In subject like History, thorough reading and understanding of the chapters is essential. In the chapter "The Rise of Nationalism in Europe" some important topics which have been repeatedly asked in exams are period of hardship in Europe (1830s), Napoleon's code of 1804, the Romatic imagination and the National feeling, Rise of conservatism and Vienna Congress held in 1815. Prepare these topics well.
Some topics in this chapter which have not been asked in previous years but have chances of been asked this year are the unification process of Italy and Germany, Balkan problem and the formation of the United Kingdom (under the toipc of "Strange Case of Britain").
It is recommended to learn and understand all topics in this chapter. Please do not go for any selective studies.
While learning History, read events and incidents in connection with one another. This will help you to understand the concepts and events better. Practise writing answers. Do not learn answers verbally. Practise solving as many past year question papers and sample papers as you can. Writing a good answer is a key to score good marks in Social Studies.
