What are polar compounds and what are non polar compounds?

Polar compounds are those compounds which contains electronegativity difference between atoms present in it,in other words they contains charge.
Non polar compounds are those compounds which contains less electronegativity difference between atoms present in it,in other words they do not contain charge.
Polar compounds can only dissolve in polar solvents and non polar in non polar solvents because oppositively charge attract each other.
