WHAT ARE POLAR BONDS?
Asked by | 29th Oct, 2012, 04:54: PM
A polar bond is a type of covalent bond between two atoms or more in which electrons are shared unequally. Due to this unsymmetrical sharing of electrons; one of the atoms in the covalent bond acquires a slight negative charge and the other atom a slight positive charge. For example H2O, HCl, HF all are polar molecules having polar bonds.
