what are irrational numbers?give examples

Expert Answer
irrational numbers are those numbers which can't be written in the form p/q where p and q are integers and q is not equal to zero.
Also another test of identifying an irrational number is that its decimal representation is non terminating nonrepeating.
e.g.
123451213245.132....
this is number with non terminating non repeating decimal representation. So it become an irrational number.
