We know that the minimum distance of the obstacle from the source of sound must be half of 34.4m i.e. 17.2m.So sometimes questions based on this topic have the distance to be more than 34.4m i.e. 50m or sometimes 75m so in this distance can we hear an echo?

Minimum distance between the source and the obstacle should be 17.2 m. However, the distance should be such that the reflected sound does not fade away on reaching the listener's ears.
