Expert Answer:

(a)According to de Broglie, every object in motion has a wave character. The wavelengths associated with macroscopic objects like a ball is so short (because of their large masses) that their wave properties cannot be detected.

(b) Since  the wavelength of a is found to be double than that of b this implies that the mass of b particle is twice of the mass of "a" particle.
