Expert Answer:
Respiration is a process by which carbohydrates are oxidised to release energy. Along with the release of energy, there is some of water which is lost to the environment in the form of water vapour. This adds to the water vapour content present in the atmosphere. Transpiration in plants is a process by which plants cool off themselves by losing water in the form of water vapour from the aerial parts of the plant. This process also enhances the water vapour content of the atmosphere.
