Let the radius of the cylinder = radius of the cone =r
Since on immersing the cone in the water, 1,4 th of the volume of water flows out, so it means that the volume of the cone = 1/4 th of the volume of water in the completely filled cylinder.
So ler height of the cone=h
and
height of the cylinder =H
So,
So, the required answer is
H/h=4/3 or
ratio of heights of the cylinder and cone is 4:3
