Expert Answer:

Consider triangle ABC with AD and BE   as altitudes to BC and AC respectively.

So, AD and BE become the altitudes of the triangle ABC.

Suppose they meey in P.

Join CP and produce it to meet AB in F(say).

If we show CVP ( and hence CF ) perpendicular to AB, then our work is done.
