Expert Answer:

Mean = Sum of Obseravtions/ Number of Observations

On substitution, we get

14 = Sum of 30 Observations / 30

Sum of 30 Observations = 30 x 14 = 420

Now, for 5 observations, we have our mean as 15

Sum of 5 Observations = 5 x 15 = 75

Sum of remaining 25 Observations = Sum of 30 Observations - Sum of 5 Observations

                                                                = 420 - 75 = 345

Mean of remaining 25 Observations = 345/25 = 13.8 Yrs.
