Given that the distance between the two buildings , x = 200 m.

Consider the motion along the vertical :

we need to find the time needed for the the ball to cover the vertical separation between the two buiding, y = 540 m - 50 m = 490 m .

Initial velocity u_{y}=0 , y =490 m, a_{y }= g =9.8 m/s^{2}

Now, the distance between the two buildings , x = 200 m.
