Two simple pendulums of length 1m and 16 m respectively are both given a small displacement in same direction at the same instant.They will be again in phase after the shorter pendulum has completed "n " oscillations.Calculate "n".

LET the time periods of two pendulums are T1 and T2 .
 
From the questio T1=T2/4.
 
so when first pendulum will complete its four oscillations the bigger one will complete its one oscillation. So they will be in phase for n=4
