Two magnetic field lines never intersect. So what happens to the magnetic field lines of 2 distinct magnets(say bar magnets),brought close to each other?

Expert Answer:
When two distince magnets are brought closer, depending upon which poles of the magnet are closer, the magnetic fields either attract (in which case, the magnetic come closer) or repel ( in this case, the magnetic lines move far apart) but the magnetic lines never intersect because if two lines intersect, it would mean at that point the magnetic field has two directions which is not possible.
