Multiples of 3 in rolling a die is 3,6

Therefore,The probability of getting multiple of 3 is P open parentheses A close parentheses equals 2 over 6 equals 1 third
Multiples of 2 in rolling a die is 2,4,6

Therefore, The probability of getting multiple of 2 is P open parentheses B close parentheses equals 3 over 6 equals 1 half
Getting a multiple of 3 on one die is independent of getting a multiple of 2 on other die.

Let the events be A and B respectively.

Thus, the probability of getting multiple of 3 on one die and multiple of 2 on other die is

P open parentheses A intersection B close parentheses equals P open parentheses A close parentheses cross times P open parentheses B close parentheses comma since A and B are independent events.
Thus, P open parentheses A intersection B close parentheses equals 1 third cross times 1 half equals 1 over 6
