two complementary angles measure (3x + 20degree) and (x + 30degree). The value of x is?

We know that the sum of two complementary angles is 90 degrees.
Therefore, 
3x + 20 + x + 30 = 90
4x = 40
x = 10
Also, the two angles are (3x + 20) = 50 ad (x + 30) = 40.
