Expert Answer
The number of square meters required is actually the curved surface area of the tent
=C.S.A of the frustrum+C.S.A. of the conical part
for the frustrum, R=16, r=10 , h=8 slant height=L=
for the cone, l=12
C.S.A of the frustrum=
C.S.A=of the cone =
(radius of base of the tent =r)
add the two and you will get the answer.
