Blood and lymph help in transportation in our body. Blood transports food, respiratory gases, hormones and waste materials in our bodies. Transportation is important so as to circulate the necessary materials to the site where they are needed. Heart and blood vessels are important to transport materials in our body.
In plants, transportation of water and food is carried out by xylem and phloem.
