If 0<x<pi/2, then 0<x/2<pi/4. In this region, cosx/2 >sinx/2 and hence, while computing sqrt(1-sinx), you should write it as cosx/2 - sinx/2, instead of the other way round. The problem with this is that while computing sqyare root of any number or function, it can either be positive or negative. However, generally people tend to consider only the one, which is greater than 0.
So, we would recommend you to go by the second method, even though both the answers are possible.
