THIS QUESTION IS FROM TOPIC ELASTICITY,,, IF THE WIRE CAN RETAIN ITS ORIGINAL SIZE AND SHAPE AFTER THE REMOVAL OF WEIGHTS FROM THE POINT WIRE REACHES ITS ELASTIC LIMIT THEN WHY IS THAT HOOKE'S LAW IS HELD TRUE FOR ONLY PROPORTIONAL LIMIT AND NOT ELASTIC LIMIT?

Since upto elatic limit the wire didn't recover 100% but has the capacity and ability to regain the size and shape. It's only upto propotional limit that it regains 100%. Please see the diagram for more clarification.
