the velocity of a particle moving along x axis is given by v=x2 - x, where x is metre and v in m/s what is its position when velocity is minimum

Velocity v = ( x2 - x )

To get minimum velocity , we find dv/dx and equate to zero

dv/dx = 2 x - 1 = 0

from above expression, we get minimum velocity at x = 1/2
