The surface area of a cuboid is 552 cm sq. Its length and breadth are 12 cm and 9 cm respectively. Find its (a)height (b)volume?

lf l, b and h are respectively length, breadth and height of cuboid, its surface area is 2×(l×b + b×h + h×l)
 
let h be the height of given cuboid. Then surface area = 2×(12×9 + 9h + 12h ) = 552 cm ..............(1)
 
eqn.(1) is simplified to, 21h  = 168  or h = 8 cm
 
volume = l×b×h = 12×9×8 = 864 cm3
