The sum of two numbers is 25.one of the number exceeds the other by 9. Find the numbers.

Let the no be x
Then,
According to the question
One no.... x
Another no......x+9
Total sum.....25
x+x+9=25
2x=25-9
2x=16
x=16/2
x=8
One no is x......8
Another no x+9........8+9=17
