Let the spirit be a % and b % in vessels A and B respectively.
3 parts from A and 2 parts from B, total parts, 5.
Amount of spirit in 3 parts of A = (a/100)3.
Amount of spirit in 2 parts of B = (b/100)2.
Amount of spirit in 5 parts, = (0.29)5.
These amount must tally.
(Amount of spirit in 3 parts of A)+(Amount of spirit in 2 parts of B) = Amount of spirit in 5 parts
(a/100)3 + (b/100)2 = (0.29)5
3a + 2b = 145 ..........(1)
Similary for second part we get,
a + 9b = 340 ..........(2)
Solving (1) and (2), we find,
a = 25, b = 35,
Percentage of spirit in A = 25
Percentage of spirit in B = 35
